The machine stops.

Before lockdown I had been working on this painting about my arthritic joints. After four months away from home and seeing the woefully unfinished painting I decided to leave it for now but used the unfinished piece, studies and source material in another mixture of photomontage and digital painting based on a physical original, but in this case a contemporary ongoing piece. The title is taken from E M Forster's dystopian story about a world in permanent isolation.
