Angelus

In the distant days before the internet and photoshop we had to make photomontage by cutting out pictures and sticking them down and rephotographing them, a practise popularised by Dada but as old as photography itself. The images that make up this picture were made between 1985 and about 1992 and joined together in varying degrees over the last few years as well as being used, as originally intended, to generate ideas for paintings. I have added to them an element of digital painting .
